This certainly would be interesting if Apple did this. I have really grown to love Apple Fitness+ for working at from home and I do hope that they introduce more outdoor workouts going forward as we start to emerge from this COVID bubble we find ourself in right now. I’m looking forward to the world warming up and spending more time outside. I could see Apple introducing running, hiking, and swimming workouts. A larger Apple Watch with a larger battery would be great for extended workouts because I do notice that if I go for a 45 minute run with JUST my Apple Watch LTE then it absolutely destroys the Apple Watch’s battery life. Like 100% to 30% pretty easily since my Verizon coverage isn’t super great. I think my stainless steel is the best all-around smart watch that can track my fitness + workouts and be a stylish watch for when I go out and am at work, but a more rugged watch would be nice for biking and hiking where there is a very real possibility of me falling and scuffing up that beautiful stainless steel exterior. I think they should totally do this. I think it would be a great extension of the Apple Watch product line and it fits with the fitness image they have be cultivating over the last few years.
