Fantastic Friday Read: “Pixel by Pixel: how Google is trying to focus and ship the future”

Really wonderful banner image from the Verge

I really like the new Google mantra of “Better Together”, which is a focus on small tweaks from the top of the Google ecosystem to the bottom that makes everything work well together. I think that’s one thing that they’ve been missing for years now that Apple does really well. Making sure headphones, cars, TVs, smart homes…everything in people’s lives work well with Android phones, Android tablets, Android watches, and ChromeOS is important and keeps people excited to stay in your ecosystem. Google has ambient computing dreams and devices like the Pixel Phones and Nest Home Hubs are all just points in this mesh network they want to build to be helpful. I think this short ad really drives the point home well of the Pixel Porfolio is “Here to help”
