Fantastic Friday Read (Belated): “Turning iPod touch into the ultimate music player”
First off…R.I.P. iPod. The iPod with video was what got me into Apple gear, I really loved that thing. I spent many, many hours in high school ripping movies like Lord of the Rings to it and ripping + listening to music on it. American Idiot was my go-to album for my high school years. I got the one in black and just loved it. In honor of that, I enjoyed Parker Ortolani’s post about turnign the iPod Touch into a great dedicated music listening device. The iPod Touch fundamentally being an iPhone, all of the tricks in this article can be done on an iPhone. With Focus modes, you could even have all of these custom widgets and icons at the read for when you’re ready to jam. I may configure an “iPod” focus mode on my iPhone just for that purpose like I have a custom homescreen for gaming and a custom mode for reading.
